Work Hard. Take Pride in What You Do. Be Part of Something People Remember.
Ry-J’s Climbing Adventures creates event experiences throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec—from community festivals and school events to corporate events, brand activations and large-scale attractions. Behind every successful event is a team of people who show up prepared, work hard, pay attention to the details and take pride in doing the job properly. We’re looking for dependable, diligent people who enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors and being part of a team. Our work is active, fast-paced and constantly changing. One day you may be setting up a large corporate event, the next a school event, festival, climbing attraction or interactive experience. If you take initiative, value accountability, care about the quality of your work and want the opportunity to learn new skills and take on greater responsibility, Ry-J’s may be a great fit for you. Be the best, not the biggest. That standard applies to our equipment, our events and the people who represent our company.

Position Summary
The Delivery Driver / Operator plays a critical front-line role in the successful execution of Ry-J’s events.
You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery, setup, operation, and takedown of inflatables, attractions, and event equipment at customer locations throughout our service area.
This is not simply a driving position. Our Delivery Driver / Operators represent Ry-J’s directly in front of our customers and are expected to bring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, safety awareness, and personal accountability to every event.
We operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where schedules, locations, equipment, and responsibilities can change from day to day. We are looking for people who are dependable, physically capable, organized, willing to learn, and able to think and work independently when required.
The right person takes pride in doing a job properly, notices the details, communicates when something is wrong, and follows a task through from start to finish.
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and punctual — when you are scheduled, the team and the customer are counting on you.
- Diligent and detail-oriented when loading equipment, completing safety checks, setting up events, and confirming that nothing has been missed.

- Strong awareness of safety and the ability to follow company procedures.
- Able to think ahead and solve basic problems in the field.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where plans and priorities may change.

- Willing to learn different equipment, attractions, setup procedures, and areas of the business.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team while remaining personally accountable for your own responsibilities.
- Willing to help where needed rather than taking a “that’s not my job” approach.
- Able to maintain high standards even during long, busy, or physically demanding days.
- Interested in growing with the company and taking on additional responsibility as skills and experience develop.
Position Requirements
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous delivery, customer service, events, construction, landscaping, logistics, or similar hands-on experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and Ontario traffic laws.
- Comfortable driving trucks and towing trailers.
- Able to safely lift, move, push, and handle heavy event equipment.
- Physically capable of working outdoors and performing repetitive physical tasks.
- Comfortable working around large inflatable attractions, generators, event equipment, trailers, and tools.
- Able to follow written instructions, load sheets, checklists, and safety procedures.
- Able to use a smartphone for communication, scheduling, photos, documentation, and job information.
- Must be available for some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the event schedule.
- Reliable transportation to and from our facility is required.
Responsibilities
Delivery Driver / Operators may be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and trailers, verifying equipment against load sheets, safely transporting equipment to customer locations, setting up and securing attractions, completing required safety inspections, operating equipment during events when assigned, communicating professionally with customers, monitoring equipment condition, completing takedowns, returning equipment to the warehouse, identifying damaged or missing equipment, and completing required documentation and photographs.
You are expected to leave each job site knowing that the equipment was installed correctly, the customer was taken care of, and the job was completed to Ry-J’s standards.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means more than getting the truck from Point A to Point B.
It means arriving prepared, noticing problems before they become problems, taking care of the equipment, communicating clearly, following safety procedures, completing the job properly, and being someone the rest of the team can depend on.
We value people who demonstrate reliability, diligence, accountability, professionalism, good judgment, and pride in their work.
Strong performers who demonstrate these qualities may have opportunities to learn additional equipment, operate larger attractions, lead event setups, train other employees, and take on increased responsibility within the company.
